Job Description
The Director of Leasing is responsible for providing leadership to our Leasing division and managing all Leasing operations. This leader will demonstrate extreme ownership of all leasing related activities, excel as a cross functional team member and methodically drive the business forward. Your primary focus will be providing strategic direction in the areas of the leasing department. You will be responsible for ensuring the leasing team is effectively marketing properties, processing applications, and vacancy timelines are shortened. You will be a driving force in assuring we achieve business goals and will work closely with other members of the leadership team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Optimize the leasing platform in a way that efficiently improves our clients & teams experience
- Encourage innovation, explore new opportunities and methodologies, and champion continuous process improvements
- Manage and keep leasing processes updated
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration and teamwork with colleagues, both locally and remotely
- Leverage data and your expertise to refine theleasing process, pinpoint bottlenecks, and streamline the leasing process for improved efficiency to achieve our company goals
- Establishes key metrics to determine the success of the department
- Gather, investigateand summarizemarket data and trends to draft reports
- Train and be responsible for directing the work performed by the leasing team
- Forecast staffing needs within leasing department
- Interview and hire employees in accordance with the company's policy under the direction of the Integrator
- Lead, Manage and hold their team accountable
- Establish and coordinate scheduling for leasing team to ensure turnovers are split appropriately
- Coordinate leasing staff meetings
- Approve timecards and review PTO for the leasing team
- Review department performance, measurables, and quality control
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the legal climate of the market & ensure our lease is in compliance
- Vendor management for vacant properties
- Monitors our new clients experience to ensure they have a 5-star experience
- Approve rental comps and marketing descriptions for leasing team members who are not
- licensed
- Work with other Operations Division managers on solving key issues
- As Good Life expands its presence in neighboring markets, there may be occasional commuting between San Diego and nearby areas, such as Orange County
- All other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have a California Real Estate License
- Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Business or related field from an accredited college or university required or equivalent work experience
- 5+ yearsof proven leadership experience and success in Property Management, Leasing, or similar role
- Understanding and knowledge of Property Turnovers
- Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of G-Suite applications (Gmail, Drive, Word Sheets) and Mac OS
- Eligible to work in the U.S
Salary: $100k - $150k DOE
