Program Summary:
Lennar’s Technology Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship beginning in June for rising college seniors, in which associates apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world projects and challenges. The program will facilitate participants’ development of essential interpersonal and technical skills and position associates for future career success and leadership opportunities. Associates will work alongside seasoned professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture while contributing to impactful projects, and become immersed in Lennar’s culture through onboarding (including a visit to a Lennar Community), hands-on training, and teambuilding. Upon program completion, high-performing interns may have an opportunity to return to Lennar as part of the Technology Recent College Grad (RCG) program.
Responsibilities:
Software Engineer
- Gather and translate internal and external client requirements into technical design specifications as well as business process reengineering.
- Code high-quality solutions and unit tests, ensuring successful integration into the overall application/system with clean, robust, and well-tested interfaces.
- Collaborate with technology engineering leaders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work on feature enhancements, Bug fixes, and Tech Debt
Data Engineer
- Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity by performing data validation and cleansing activities as well as integration support.
- Data transformation/translation experience is a big plus.
- Exposure to databases, data modeling, and data warehouse concepts.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including data access, performance, and accuracy problems.
General Requirements:
- Graduating from a 4-year College or University between December 2025 and May 2026
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Knowledge of programming language(s) such as Python, SQL, Scala, Java, JavaScript, C# or C++
- Knowledge of delivery/release events, e.g., release notes, branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution
- Ability to work within Scrum & Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience
- Hunger to learn in a complex and fast-paced environment with a positive attitude, both as part of a team and individually
- Strong critical thinking skills and self-directed and innovative mindset
- Interest in solving complex problems and investing the time and energy to overcome roadblocks and learn from mistakes
- Ability to deliver value in an ambiguous environment, including various work assignments and changing priorities
- Ability to meaningfully contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of state-of-the-art technology applications
- Ability to build and sustain working relationships with both business and IT professionals while focusing on the needs of customers and consumers
Software Engineer Requirements:
- Knowledge of front-end or back-end web development
- Knowledge of application frameworks, e.g., Angular, Oracle, ASP.NET
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Knowledge of SDLC
- Basic knowledge of semantic HTML and modern CSS
- Knowledge of JavaScript (TypeScript) and understanding of basic principles of development
- Familiarity with JavaScript UI libraries (example: react.js, vue.js, etc.)
- Understanding of how websites and web servers work and communicate with each other
- Knowledge of version control tools (GitHub, BitBucket, etc.)
Data Engineering Requirements:
- Exposure to programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with a focus on data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, PySpark)
- Knowledge of data analysis tools (such as R, Matlab, Jupyter, PowerBI, Excel, or Tableau)
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to write simple queries and perform basic data manipulations
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools, such as AWS Glue, Qlik, or SSIS
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star schema, fact tables, and dimension tables
- Basic understanding of version control systems like Git
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic cloud services, such as storage and compute resources

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office. Also requires the ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carry items less than 50 pounds. Finger dexterity in operating a computer keyboard and calculator. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork and to receive/return phone messages. Standing is required for filing and copying.
