A day in the life
Based out of our San Francisco global headquarters and reporting into the CHRO, the Vice President, HR is a motivational leader, functional expert, and key member of the HR Leadership Team. In this highly visible and influential leadership role, this individual will directly support key business priority client groups while leading a team of senior HR business partners to support global teams and new business lines, in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Serve as trusted advisor to new, incoming CHRO on all HR matters, including HRBP support of C-suite leadership teams and project leadership and execution on initiatives of varying scope and complexity at the enterprise level.
- Partner with executive team leaders to assess talent needs within the organization and partner with Center of Excellence (COE) peers to develop plans to identify, acquire, and develop the next generation of Prologis leaders.
- In conjunction with COE peers and executive stakeholders, share responsibility for leading cyclical HR processes (performance management, compensation planning, talent reviews, succession planning, etc.).
- Serve as a champion and leader of change at all levels of the organization.
- Act as a creative and inspiring HR leader with the ability to motivate leaders to affect meaningful transformation at a time of critical change for the organization both in terms of leadership transitions as well as new business expansion.
- Lead the strategic development and implementation of HR initiatives by leveraging data analysis, HR technology, and innovative solutions
Building blocks for success
Required
- 10+ years of relevant HR business partner experience with at least 5 years spent leading teams.
- Prior experience serving as the HRBP to the HR organization.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop employees at all levels of the organization, up through newly appointed C-suite leaders.
- A proven eye for business and broad HR experience as a partner and influencer.
- Ability to use analytics to provide actionable insights, ensure effective use of HR systems, and help the company continuously improve
- Understand research and best practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB); advocate for threading DEIB through all people and culture-driving processes across the organization.
- Demonstrable track record of consulting with senior leadership within an organization to build long-range HR strategies.
- Must be proficient in local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Exceptional cross functional collaboration, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven cultural change agent, with ability to challenge the status quo and develop creative solutions to global business challenges.
- Track record of high integrity and credibility.
- Comfortable with a hybrid work schedule with the expectation that you are in the office a minimum of 3x per week.
- Comfort and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20%.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or similar relevant discipline.
- Experience in multiple HR disciplines (Talent Management, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, etc.).
- Experience across multiple industries and publicly traded companies of varying sizes.
Hiring Salary Range of $193,000 - $289,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & Long-Term Incentives) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
